(KSL News)--A two car collision in Draper has sent a mother and her young child to the hospital in serious condition.
The crash happened this afternoon on Highland Drive and 1300 East in Draper. A large pick-up truck crashed into the side of a small SUV, seriously injuring a mother and her young child. Rescue crews had to cut the top off the vehicle to rescue them.
Both were flown to the hospital with serious cuts and the woman suffered a head injury. The driver of the pick-up truck was not hurt.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash.
