(KSL News) -- A convicted murderer may get out of prison early.
A parol board decided this week to release Fred Alvarez from prison in June 2008. That's two years short of his 20 year sentence.
Alcarez was found guilty of fatally stabbing Don Newingham 1990 during a fight at a drinking party. He was acquitted of killing Newingham's son the same night.
