BOX ELDER COUNTY -- Troopers have released the name of a 15-year-old girl killed when the car she was riding in ran a stop sign near Elwood Saturday.
Madison Kimball of Providence was riding in the back left seat of an Oldsmobile Alero with four other teenagers around 3:30 p.m. when the driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of 8000 North and state Route 13. A Chevy Silverado broadsided the Alero -- forcing it off the road.
None of the five teens in the Alero was wearing a seat belt. Kimball was taken to Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton where she was pronounced dead. Two other teens -- 18-year-old Celena Yeates of Elwood and 16-year-old McKenzie Cristoffersen of Hyde Park -- were flown to Salt Lake City hospitals with critical injuries.
The remaining two teenagers -- 18-year-old Hayden Hill of Logan and 17-year-old Trevor Madson of North Logan -- were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Silverado, 69-year-old Richard Rock of Tremonton, was treated at Brigham City Community Hospital for minor injuries.
