(KSL News) A man accused of trying to kill his girlfriend is found guilty of assaulting her instead.
Alonzo Mosley, 35, was originally charged with attempted murder for repeatedly punching his girlfriend then holding her head under water until she passed out.
But the Deseret Morning News reports a jury found him guilty of aggravated assault instead. Mosley faces up to 15 years in prison.
His former girlfriend has since undergone surgery to repair the broken bones in her face.
