(KSL News) Police patrolling St. George streets for speeding cars found that and much more last night.
Police spotted a car speeding down Bluff Street at speeds over 100 miles per hour late last night. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the driver stopped for a moment to let his mother out. She told police her son was mentally ill, and police stopped following him.

But when reports came in of the same car ramming other cars, police started the chase again. The driver eventually crashed. He got out and tried to grab an officer's gun, so police tasered him.
The man now faces several charges and is being held on $500,000 bail.
