SALT LAKE CITY -- Police have suspended the search for a possibly abducted child due to a lack of solid leads.

Salt Lake City police say they have yet to find any evidence that a child was kidnapped, nor have they had any reports of a missing child. Three children reported seeing a dark van pull up to a 6- or 7-year-old boy near 1300 West and 900 North around 2:20 Saturday afternoon. They say the people inside the van offered toys and the boy got in.

Officers spent the day knocking on doors in the area looking for information into the possible abduction. They say everyone in the neighborhood was accounted for.

Police are asking anyone who may be missing a child or who saw anything suspicious to give them a call at 801-799-3000.
