PARK CITY -- Helicopter and ground search-and-rescue team from Utah's Summit County have located a 35-year-old hiker from New Mexico who lost the trail in the dark in the Uinta Mountains.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office says the missing hiker has been located and is in good condition.
A Department of Public Safety helicopter was to help search the area in eastern Utah, with 10 search and rescue members on the ground.
Summit County Sheriff's detective Ron Bridge tells the Deseret News the hiker called 911 late Sunday after his flashlight died on Henry's Fork trail near King's Peak. He had hiked to the Dollar Lake area.
Bridge says the man isn't an experienced hiker. But he was in good condition, had food and a tent, and was prepared to stay the night.
