SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City police are searching for an armed bank robber.

Officers say the man, who appears to be in his late 20s, walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 800 South and Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City at 10:30 Friday morning.

Tellers say he handed one of them a note demanding money and showed a gun. The teller handed over cash, and the suspect left on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or this incident to call 801-799-3000. Callers may remain anonymous.
