SALT LAKE CITY -- The Salt Lake City Police Department released video Thursday of a man wanted in at least five vending machine break-ins, and the video clearly identifies the man.
To date, detectives have video of the suspect breaking into soda vending machines at the following locations:
- Red Lion, 161 W. 600 S. on July 3, 4, 13 and 14
- Metropolitan Inn, 524 S. West Temple on July 16
Owners of the Coca-Cola vending machine at Red Lion installed the video camera that captured the burglar after suffering occasional losses as far back as January.
The man appears to know exactly how to access the machine and obtain the cash quickly, indicating that he may have experience in the vending business.
The police department asks anyone who knows the man to call 801-799-3000. Callers may remain anonymous. Please reference case #10-124711.
