Jeremiah Jensen ReportingReal Salt Lake owner Dave Checketts today announced some big changes for the team.

Steve Pastorino resigned as general manager, and John Ellinger will be reassigned. He's now the technical director.

Real Salt Lake owner Dave Checketts says, "This is just a results-oriented business. Those of us who've been in a while understand that. Sometimes we wish it were different, but it is about results." New Real Salt Lake head coach Jason Kreis says, "I say if you don't believe in me or in this decision get in line, because I'm sure there are going to be a lot of you. And I will in the end thank you for that. It is exactly what I need, a lot of people to prove wrong."

Kreis is one of the greatest strikers in Major League Soccer history. He has scored 109 goals, the most in league history. The 34-year-old is now the youngest coach in MLS history.
