FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Davis County residents will have access to a new discount program for prescription drugs.
Beginning today, free discount cards will be available in most county pharmacies, doctors' offices and government buildings.
The cards, provided under a program sponsored by the National Association of Counties, offer an average discount of 20 percent off prescription drug purchases.
The cards are available to all county residents, regardless of current health coverage. They can be used at participating pharmacies throughout the nation, a list that includes most major retailers. The discount also can be used on pet medications.
