Rocker MELISSA ETHERIDGE thrilled students at California college UCLA on Wednesday (05OCT05) when she turned up unannounced to lecture a class about her breast cancer battle.
The singer/songwriter chatted to the University of California Los Angeles students about her year-long fight as part of a one-hour class, organised by bosses at MTV's college network mtvU (corr).
Etheridge revealed, "I've been a rock star since you were very young, but I've never encountered anything as powerful as cancer."
The singer's masterclass will be shown on mtvU later this month (17OCT05). (KL/LA/IG)
