SALT LAKE CITY -- A man is in custody after jumping out of a third-story window of an apartment building to escape police.

Salt Lake City police Sgt. Mike Hill says officers wanted to talk to the man about his friends who are suspects in some recent robberies.
Police went to the man's third-floor apartment unit at 115 S. 300 West around 8 a.m. Monday. When officers knocked on the door, they heard the door lock. Then officers on the ground floor saw him jumping from a window.
Sgt. Hill said, "As he jumped out, officers gave chase and chased him for about two minutes. They were able to catch up with him, take him into custody."
Police say the man was wanted on a series of felony warrants and also may be involved in the robberies. The other robbery suspects were arrested over the weekend.
