SPANISH FORK, Utah (AP) -- A trial date has been set for a man accused of lying to a grand jury about the disappearance of a Spanish Fork teen ten years ago.
Twenty-eight-year-old Timmy Brent Olsen was in court yesterday. Last month, he became the third man to be indicted on multiple counts of perjury before a grand jury in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Kiplyn Davis.
Federal prosecutors say they're willing to call 70 witnesses to counter Olsen's denial to his involvement in the disappearance.
Olsen's attorney says there's a chance the case will not go to trial because Olsen is trying to negotiate a settlement with prosecutors.
The judge set Olsen's trial for January ninth.
