(KSL News) Smoke inside the Public Safety Building in downtown Salt Lake prompted an evacuation this morning.
When fire crews arrived at the scene this morning, they found smoke on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors of the building.
Crews searched the 4th floor of the building but didn't find any flames. They believe plumbing repair work caused the smoke.
The Public Safety Building houses the Salt Lake Police Department and the Fire Department.
Employees were allowed back into the building within an hour of being evacuated.
