Better opportunities and a lower cost of living. That's what brought Jeronimo Hernandez to Utah from California. One of the biggest factors in his decision was the desire to own a business, something he never would have been able to afford prior to his move.
After coming to Utah in 2005, Jeronimo set out to find a piece of land for his business and was delighted to discover just the right property for an affordable price close to downtown Salt Lake City. Procuring the land was the first step, but within four years, Jeronimo saw his dream come to pass with the opening of JJH Auto Body and Paint in October 2009.
JJH Auto Body and Paint provides collision repairs and auto body work. To build up clientele for the new business, Jeronimo is currently offering a 10 percent discount on any job. Additionally, JJH Auto Body knows how difficult it can be to have your car in the shop even for a short time, so Jeronimo is happy to provide a free rental car to customers while their car is being worked on. With 20 years of experience doing auto body and paint work, Jeronimo feels so strongly about providing the service of a free rental car.
Jeronimo has secured a contract with Hertz Rental Cars, which has been a boon for his business. He is also working to procure contracts with other rental car companies. He's pleased with the success his business has experienced to date and plans to continue working to build his company's reputation and community presence.
He is delighted to already have repeat customers and to meet with a wide variety of insurance agents, often on a daily basis, who provide an important source for new business. Within the year, Jeronimo hopes to expand into a second facility and to eventually open several more shops throughout the valley. He aims to do anything possible to help JJH Auto Body and Paint successfully compete against other body shops.
