SALT LAKE CITY -- A crash involving a car and a moped killed a 58-year-old man Thursday.
Salt Lake police say Stephen England was driving his moped south on 200 East around 8 a.m. when a 26-year-old woman driving a tan sedan turned left in front of him at Social Hall Avenue.
When the moped hit the car, England was thrown to the ground. He was wearing a helmet, but he was run over by the car. He was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and died later in the afternoon.
England works for Salt Lake City and was on his way to work at the time of the accident.
Police are still investigating and have not said if anyone will be cited.
