(KSL News) -- The Living Planet Aquarium is making a big push for big money.
Today Aquarium officials said they will try to raise more than 45-million dollars in the next two years in order to open the aquarium in downtown Salt Lake. They said there is a lot of support for the aquarium in the city and state.
Brent Anderson, Founder, Living Planet Aquarium: "MOst people surveyed had indicated that an aquarium would be very beneficial, recreationally, economically, culturally, and of course educationally."
More than 200-thousand people have visited the preview version of the Aquarium in the Gateway Center.
