(KSL News) A motel in Salt Lake filled with smoke this afternoon after one unit went up in flames.

Firefighters arrived at the Zion's Motel on 1800 South and State Street to find smoke flowing throughout the entire structure. They evacuated several people in surrounding units while fighting the flames in the unit where the fire started.

The motel's owner says every room was occupied last night. Firefighters didn't find anyone in the engulfed room. That unit was destroyed.

Fire crews are still trying to determine what caused the blaze. Nobody was injured.
