OGDEN -- The families and friends of five people killed in a car crash last weekend held a fundraiser Wednesday to help pay for funeral costs.
Friends washed cars at 31st Street and Wall Avenue in Ogden. The money raised will go toward the families of the five young people who died Saturday in a car crash in Weber County.
"We were all connected in some way, and we're all hurt," said fundraiser organizer Querstin Nelson. "None of us have money to donate money to these families, so that's why we've put this together, to have the community come along and help us raise money for these funerals."
A memorial fund has also been set up at America First Credit Union.*
