Andrew Adams, KSL Newsradio A car-thieving suspect gets the deal of a lifetime from Salt Lake Police officers, only to go back to his old ways hours later.

It all starts with officers stopping a stolen car. The passenger in that car already had warrants out. He knows it, so he offers police a deal: "Let me go, and I'll show you another stolen car." Police say "Why not?" and the guy goes free.

Zoom ahead to later that night, when officers find another stolen car. This time, they leave it as a trap to see who shows up. Turns out it's the same guy as before.

Police eventually chase him down. No deal this time.
