(KSL News) -- A teenage girl is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while being dropped off for school.
Police say the girl was being dropped off by her father near 1730 W. 1700 North.
Instead of going to the crosswalk, the girl got out, walked behind the car and was struck by a red Honda civic.
She was taken to the Primary Children's with a broken arm, hip and wrist.
