SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- One of the survivors of Monday's van rollover has been upgraded to stable condition.

Twenty-one-year-old Robert Petersen, of Tremonton, was moved out of the intensive care unit at McKay-Dee Hospital last night and is in stable condition.

Twenty-two year old Jared Nelson, of Provo remains in critical but stable condition at Ogden Regional Medical Center.

Eight of their fellow students from Utah State University and their instructor were killed when their van rolled as they returned from a field trip.
