Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth book in JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, has now recorded US sales of over 11 million since it was published just 10 weeks ago.
The latest instalment in the Harry Potter series not only sold 6.9 million copies in the US in its first 24 hours of release but has also caused a surge in sales for the previous five Potter books.
More than 116.5 million copies of Rowling's books have now been printed in the US, said the BBC.
