(KSL News) -- A leak in a gas main forced children to evacuate Orem Elementary School today.

Construction crews working at the school struck service lines that sprung the leak.
The children were immediatly moved from the building while crews shut off the power lines. Officers also blocked surrounding streets to keep the area safe.
Within a few hours, crews finished the repairs.
