(KSL News) -- The Mayor of Logan wants a four day work week for city employees in order to help the environment.

Mayor Doug Thompson says changing the work schedule would improve air quality in the city because employees would be using their cars 20 percent less.

Under his plan employees would work four 10 hour days with three days off.

The Logan budget office says the plan would also improve customer service since city offices would be open later.
