PROVO -- One woman was killed and another injured in a rollover accident in Provo Canyon. It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on State Road 189 near milepost 11.

Witnesses told investigators a car drifted off to the left side of the road, then the driver over-corrected. The car hit a barrier and rolled several times.

The driver, 42-year-old Karilyn Oborn, died at the scene. A 29-year-old woman passenger survived and was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Utah Department of Public Safety says alcohol consumption is being investigated in relation to the crash.
