CLEARFIELD -- A 54-year-old man in an assisted living center is facing more than a dozen child pornography charges. Brandon Garrett was booked into the Davis County Jail Wednesday.
Garrett, who is bound to a wheelchair, left a DVD out that was found by the center's employees. Clearfield police say the casing suggested child porn was on the disc.
"They were able to look at the DVD, and they saw obvious images of child pornography and contacted the police," said Sgt. Kyle Jeffries with the Clearfield Police Department.
Jeffries says officers seized more CDs, DVDs and Garrett's computer. That computer will undergo a forensic test.
Investigators say Garrett's record looks clean, but now he's been charged with 15 felony counts of exploitation of a child.
