In her first TV interview since splitting from Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston talked about moving forward.

On Monday's broadcast of The Oprah Winfrey Show, taped last week, Pitt's name was never mentioned. Neither was Angelina Jolie's, with whom Pitt is now linked.

The actress says she's ready to start dating and has adjusted to living independently. As for reports that she and Vince Vaughn have hooked up: "You can't believe those tabloid magazines," she said.

Aniston blames the media for blowing her breakup with Pitt out of proportion and for creating an unreal "perfect" marriage.

"There's the days when I go, 'I don't want it. I'm just not in the mood.' But it'll die down eventually, and I have also come to some peace with it," Aniston said. "It's like, 'So how many pictures are they going to get of you walking on the beach?' That's got to get boring."

What is she most looking forward to? "I love the unknown. I love the discovery of what will be happening."

Aniston reiterated her desire to have children, which she told Vanity Fair last month. And she said she "did not burst into tears at the opening of that article."

Other topics discussed: Aniston does yoga three times a week; sunset is her favorite time of day; and she makes a mean dirty martini.
