(KSL News) -- South Salt Lake police are investigating a shooting last night after a high school football game.

The team bus of Canyon View High School from Cedar City was leaving the grounds of Granite High School when a car blocked the bus from leaving the parking lot. That's when someone got out of the car and fired several rounds at the bus from a BB or pellet gun.

Sgt. Mikal Wersland, South Salt Lake Police Dept.: "A window was broken on the bus and one of the Canyon View students was struck in the head, caused minor injuries, the skin was broken."

The 16-year-old student was treated at the scene.

Investigators believe the suspects are Granite High students and say they will be prosecuted, just as if they had used a real gun.
