WEST VALLEY CITY -- A West Valley City man, stabbed in the heart, is recovering in the hospital.
According to jail documents, 39-year-old Steven Lewis was booked on a charge of attempted murder for stabbing the man his mother is dating.
Lewis found the man asleep at his West Valley home and starting arguing with him. Lewis allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the man at least three times -- in the side, the back and once in the heart.
The man is in stable condition at the University of Utah Medical Center.
