(KSL News) -- The Governor of Oregon wants the man accused of murdering Brooke Wilberger to be extradited from New Mexico.

Joel Patrick Courtney was indicted in Benton County in August for the disappearance and presumed death of the former BYU student.

Courtney is in a New Mexico jail, accused of raping a University of New Mexico student. Courtney isn't expected to be extradited until the New Mexico case is resolved, and his trial isn't expected to begin until at least spring 2006.
