LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Logan Regional Hospital has launched a search for a new CEO.

After six years, Chief Executive Officer Bob Cash is leaving the Cache Valley hospital and heading south. Cash will be the operations officer for Intermountain Medical Center. He'll oversee the surgery and diagnostic imaging and heart services at the Murray medical center and at other Intermountain hospitals throughout the Salt Lake Valley.

Cash says the decision was driven in part by family considerations.

Under Cash's leadership, Logan Regional opened a new Women & Newborn Center and a Cancer Center.

Logan Regional Hospital spokesman Doug Thompson praised Cash's work. He says Cash improved the hospital's community relationships and brought better imaging services and cancer treatment for patients.
