OGDEN -- An Ogden man is charged with sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl in his girlfriend's care, the Standard-Examiner reports.
Raymond Leon Dement, 47, was booked into the Weber County Jail earlier this week on two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.
Prosecutors say the abuse took place in the presence of the victim's sister, who is around the same age.
According to the Standard-Examiner, the incidents occurred in November when the mother of the sisters left her four children in the care of Dement's girlfriend. The girlfriend reportedly asked Dement to watch the girls while she left the home with the other two.
They say at the time of his arrest Dement was preparing to flee the state.
