(KSL News) The state of Utah could end up with a surplus of more than $400 million this fiscal year.
State officials were expecting a $450-million surplus for 2007, instead it looks like the amount will be around $420 million.
The surplus includes an increase of almost eight percent in the taxes paid by individuals and a remarkable 23.6 percent in the taxes paid by corporations.
