The United Way of Salt Lake is again in the midst of a major campaign to raise funds for a wide variety of vital community needs.
KSL encourages your support.
One of the great things about the local United Way is the way it is organized. Because a core group of supportive and generous corporations and foundations underwrite the organization’s modest administrative expenses, a hundred percent of every personal donation to United Way can be used to benefit those in the community who need it most.
In recent years, the organization has made a conscientious effort to become more effective than ever in focusing on the community’s most pressing issues. The specific goals are to improve standards of living, build life skills, provide adequate child supervision, and open doors to education.
Because of that focus, and as donations come in and resources become available, the entire community benefits through the positive changes that occur in the individual lives of those on the receiving end.
KSL heartily endorses the United Way. We join the broader community in thanking the organization for a job well-done. And we encourage one and all to generously support this most effective approach to dealing with some of our area’s most pressing challenges.
