SYRACUSE -- Charges have been filed against a Syracuse man accused in a weekend shooting.

Antonio Ramirez, 20, was booked into the Davis County Jail Monday in connection with the shooting Saturday night. He is charged with first-degree attempted homicide.

Police say several gang members showed up at the party near 1600 West and 2000 South around 12:30 a.m. Saturday and got into a fight.

According to the Standard-Examiner, witnesses told police they saw Ramirez shoot a man at point-blank range. That man is now recovering at a Salt Lake City hospital.

Police believe the shooting was likely gang-related. They are still looking for a second suspect who was with Ramirez at the party but fled following the shooting.

If you have any information on the incident, you're asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 801-825-4400.
