SYRACUSE -- An underage drinking party quickly spun out of control in Syracuse early Saturday when a man was shot in the chest.
Police say several gang members showed up at the party near 1600 West and 2000 South around 12:30 a.m. and got into a fight.
That's when someone pulled a gun and shot a man in the chest. Emergency crews flew the victim, who is in his 20s, to a Salt Lake City hospital for treatment. Police detained 10 people at the scene.
Police say the investigation is proving to be difficult because few people will cooperate. No names have been released.
