(KSL News) -- Two women pulled up to a McDonalds drive-thru in Taylorsville this afternoon, but instead of getting food they pulled out a gun and ordered money.
It happened at 3900 West 5400 South, around one o'clock this afternoon. Police say two women pulled through the drive-up and placed an order, and then drove up to the window. When they got there, both women were wearing masks; one revealed a small handgun and demanded money.
The employees gave it to them, and the women took off.
Both police and people eating inside told us it was a very scary moment for the employees.
Sergeant Keith Stephens of the Taylorsville Police Department said, "There's basically a couple of young kids and a grandmother that were in the store working, and they're extremely shaken. And I don't know if they're going to be able to return to work after this."
Police believe the women are traveling in a grey-colored new Dodge Caliber. Witnesses say the license plates were covered with tape.
