In late 1996, triplets Tom, Jon and Josie Gay, along with their friend JT Holt realized the growing demand for Web site design and development. As a group, they felt they had the necessary technical and business know-how to form a solid team.
So, in March 1997, they formally incorporated Inetz Corporation (now know as Inetz Media Group) and began marketing Web development services. Aided by the drive for companies to build solid Internet strategies, Inetz had grown and expanded its service offering to include managed server hosting by 2000. It was then that Steve Haymond, who had 20 years of experience in corporate financial management, joined the team as chief financial officer.
Today, Inetz Media Group has two core service offerings: Web site and Web application development and managed hosting. Steve says Inetz has built a state-of-the-art data center for the hosting. Essentially, this means the company can not only provide the programming but also securely host, maintain and monitor the Web systems. Inetz is one of the oldest Web development companies in the area and has evolved to keep up with consumer demands. In fact, the company developed managed hosting as employees noticed the demand for it. And it is a fairly unique service for a Web development company to offer.
The company has also gone from building small informational Web sites to complex data systems designed to interact with clients' other IT operations. Steve says the Inetz Media Group has worked hard to provide a stable, long-term relationship with its clients, some of whom include the Smithsonian Institute, TV Guide, Cable Vision, Creating Keepsakes, Mrs. Fields Cookies and state Organ Donor Registries.
Company founders and partners Tom, Jon and JT not only have technical capabilities but also have incredible business acumen. They have the ability to understand what a client's needs and goals are and create the Web site accordingly.
