VERNAL, Utah (AP) -- A Uintah County farmer has been hospitalized after being attacked by two cows. The incident happened yesterday in Vernal.
Deputies say the 87-year-old man was moving the cows from a field into a pen when the livestock charged at him and knocked him down. While on the ground, the cows reportedly head-butted the man several times.
Officers say the man's daughter called police and then chased the animals away.
The man was taken to Ashley Valley Medical Center and then transported to a Salt Lake City hospital.
