FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- A former youth baseball coach accused of inappropriately touching three players has admitted his guilt.

Twenty-three-year-old Dennis Ray Richens has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery. Richens, made the plea yesterday. It was a plea of abeyance, meaning the charges will be dropped if he completes his probation successfully.

Police say three 14-year-old boys on Richens' city league baseball team complained of the coach "cup-checking the baseball players." The touching occurred between February and May.

Police say Richens admitted to touching the groin area of the boys over their clothing, but claimed he did it to check if they were wearing protective cups.
