Several therapists said they ended Tucker's sessions early or refused to work on him again, and managers from two spas said they banned him from returning. Tucker said Thursday he has never received any complaints from a massage therapist or been told he was not welcome at a spa or other place of business.

02/01/2025 11:49am
Ireland has gotten off to a five-point start to its bid for an unprecedented third straight outright Six Nations rugby title by overpowering England in a second-half recovery to rack up a 27-22 victory in Dublin. The Irish were trailing 10-5 at halftime after constantly coughing up scoring opportunities but were more accurate and ultimately rampant after halftime on Saturday. They ran in tries through Bundee Aki, Tadhg Beirne and Dan Sheehan against an increasingly ragged England to secure an attacking bonus point. Jamison Gibson-Park scored their first-half try. England started twins for the first time in its men's team in flankers Tom and Ben Curry.
A Blackhawks record: Landon Slaggert scores 7 seconds into a game against Florida

It was the fastest goal to start a game ever for the Blackhawks, according to the NHL record book. Only seven regular-season goals have been scored more quickly in NHL history, the most recent of those being a goal six seconds into a game by Vancouver's Alexandre Burrows in what became a 5-2 loss to Detroit on March 16, 2013. There have been four goals scored five seconds into games.
Nebraska's spring game likely canceled as transfer portal has made it detrimental, Rhule says
02/01/2025 11:27am
The Nebraska spring game likely won't be held going forward because of coach Matt Rhule's concern about other teams poaching his players. Rhule says it doesn't make sense to showcase players for other schools by holding a televised scrimmage in the spring. Rhule said a number of schools offered his players opportunities after their performances in the spring game. The spring game has a long tradition at Nebraska. Last year the event drew more than 60,000 and ranked fourth in the nation in attendance behind spring games at Ohio State, Alabama and Penn State.

Last week, Colorado, Chicago and Carolina completed a three-team blockbuster that got the Hurricanes Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall.
Cycling bans controversial use of carbon monoxide rebreathing
02/01/2025 10:32am
Cycling's governing body has banned the repeated use of carbon monoxide rebreathing that some riders misuse to artificially increase their performances. Following a meeting of its executive committee on Saturday in France, the UCI says it approved a ban on repeated inhalation to protect the health of riders. The ban will start on Feb. 10. The gas can be used as a tracer to monitor the diffusion of oxygen in the lungs or the total mass of hemoglobin, a key blood value for racers. Two-time Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard said last month that some are using the method to dope "by regularly inhaling low doses of carbon monoxide, which leads to a significant increase in the performance."
Winging it for the Super Bowl? Broccoli might be a cheaper party snack this year
02/01/2025 10:28am
The cost of hosting a Super Bowl party is expected to barely budge this year, with an average increase of about 10 cents from the previous year. But economists with the Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute say not all snacks are created equal and consumers will have to pay close attention to prices if they don't want to break the bank. They found a surprising spread in prices for popular game-day ingredients and prepared foods. Celery and broccoli are the best dipping choices since they cost less this year. Salsa and nacho cheese are holding steady, but the same can't be said for avocados. Can't go without guacamole? Save money by making it yourself.

Scotland produces brilliant backline moments to subdue Italy in Six Nations
02/01/2025 9:43am
Moments of brilliance by a backline shorn of its best player have spared Scotland from a second straight humbling by Italy in Six Nations rugby. Scotland won 31-19 at Murrayfield thanks to two tries by center Huw Jones after Italy rallied to tie the score at 19-19 going into the last quarter. Right wing Darcy Graham conjured a break from nowhere in the 61st minute for Jones to score the tiebreaker. Then replacement center Tom Jordan's huge miss-out pass unleashed Jones again in the 66th to bash through three defenders for the clincher. Jones' first test hat trick was a mild surprise considering he was without his regular midfield partner Sione Tuipulotu, the captain and form back.

He finished with 67 catches and a team-high 1,079 yards this season, the third straight year he's topped 1,000 yards receiving with the Eagles and fifth time overall in six NFL seasons.
