WEST VALLEY CITY — Police arrested three people after a late-night shooting Friday in West Valley City.

Isaac Rivas and Angel Mancia, both 18, were arrested in connection with a shooting that took place at 2110 W. Alexander St. just after 10 p.m., West Valley Police Lt. Jeff Conger said.

One man was shot in the leg and was transported to a hospital in stable condition, Conger said.

A vehicle with three people inside pulled up to a family party, and one man inside the car shot into a crowd of people outside the gathering, Conger said.

Police believe someone at the party was having issues with the people in the car leading up to the shooting, he said.

Police later made a traffic stop during which Rivas, Mancia and a juvenile were arrested, Conger said. He did not release the name or age of the juvenile.
