SALT LAKE CITY — Though July Fourth was a week ago, Utahns continued to celebrate America with patriotic zeal throughout the week.

This week's user submitted gallery shows off many of the beautiful scenes Utahns captured while enjoying Independence Day parties and fireworks.

At one celebration, hosted by a group called Follow the Flag, a large American flag was hoisted over Grove Creek Canyon in Pleasant Grove. KSL's Devon Dewey captured photos and video of the flag just before it was taken down July 10.

Elsewhere in Utah, more fires popped up as dry, hot conditions continued. Revelers waiting for a fireworks show at Sugarhouse Park spotted a grass fire before the show began. Officials believe sparks ignited the fire that eventually burned about 2 acres.

Browse the gallery below to see the fires throughout the state, or to see photos of Utah's July weather and sunsets. Be on the lookout for news happening this week and submit your photos to be included in our next gallery.
