SALT LAKE CITY — A 17-year-old died while hiking in Little Cottonwood Canyon Saturday, officials report.

James Wade was hiking with his family when he was separated from the group, according to Unified Police Lt. Manfred Lassig. He was killed after falling near Lisa Falls. Wade's body was located at the bottom of a steep cliff.

According to Unified Police, Wade's body was found with the assistance of a drone and search and rescue teams.
