SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police were investigating the scene of an auto-pedestrian crash Friday night that left a man in extremely critical condition.
The man in his 50s was hit by a vehicle in the intersection of 800 West and 3300 South, South Salt Lake police said.
The man suffered severe trauma, and it was possible he wouldn't survive his injuries, officials on scene said. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
The man was reportedly crossing 3300 South when he was hit.
Investigators said low visibility as the sun was going down may have contributed to the crash. Westbound 3300 South was closed between 700 West and 900 West while officers attended to the scene.
