Would you like to learn how to catch kokanee in Utah? Here's your chance, the DWR is hosting a free kokanee seminar this Wednesday June 18th at the DNR headquarters in Salt Lake City at 7pm. Everyone who attends will be put into a drawing for three guided kokanee trips with an expert kokanee fisherman.

Utah's Blue Ribbon Fisheries Advisory Council is offering the free seminar. Four kokanee salmon experts will be on hand to give you their trade secrets on popular kokanee waters like Flaming Gorge and Strawberry. Even experienced anglers should learn a thing or two.

Biologists Alan Ward and Ryan Mosley-manage two of the best kokanee salmon fishing waters in Utah, they'll be there to talk about biology and ecology of kokanee salmon, they'll show you how to read electronics and control your fishing as well as tackle and rigging.
