Tom Callan reporting The Riverdale City Council tonight takes up a request for a new license from a business they hoped to shut down.

Frankie's is the proposed name change at Riverdale Dinner and Bingo, where you can play not only on bingo but magic ball. "We heard reports from people who lost thousands of dollars in there," said city administrator Larry Hansen.

Hansen says it may still be business as usual under the proposed new license. You can still play the games, but there is no upfront cover charge. "And now anybody can go in without buying anything and have, you know, access to play the games," he said.

KSL Newsradio tried to interview the manager, but he showed us the exit door.

The business is owned by Blue Sky Entertainment in Salt Lake City.
