LEEDS — A Murray woman is in critical condition after she lost control of her car and rolled off I-15 in Washington County.
At 6:39 p.m., Washington County Dispatch received a call that a northbound car had rolled off of I-15 near Leeds. Holly Ventura, a 31-year-old Murray woman, was driving a Nissan Maxima at a high rate of speed when she veered into the center divider, overcorrected across the two lanes and rolled off the shoulder of the road into the dirt and brush. She was ejected from the car, officials reported.
Ventura sustained critical injuries, including a head injury. She was transported via medical helicopter to a Las Vegas hospital.
No other occupants were in the vehicle.
Utah Highway Patrol closed all northbound lanes on the freeway for about 30 minutes while airmed landed on the road.
